The National Certification Body of Jamaica (NCBJ), the certification unit of the Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) is seeking to contract highly motivated, suitably qualified and experienced professionals with proven record of accomplishment to fill on a part-time basis the following positions: National Certification Programmes Lead Auditors/Auditors
The incumbent will be required to support the certification process by:
Conducting off and on-site third party certification audits
The successful candidate should possess:
Tertiary level education from an accredited institution in related discipline based on the industries listed below*
At least forty (40) hours of internationally recognized Lead Auditor training
A minimum of four (4) years work experience including a minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in quality assurance at a managerial level or in a technical capacity.
A minimum of 10 audit days experience in first, second or third party audits
Knowledge in terminology, processes and technologies related to business sectors
Working knowledge of risk management and or risk based auditing
Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, ISO 19011, JS 36, various food safety management system would be an advantage
Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills and be a good team player
*NB. Incumbents with training, work and audit experiences in the following industries would be at a distinct advantage:-
Food, Beverages and Tobacco
Agriculture Hunting, Forestry and Fishing
Mining and Quarrying
Chemicals, Chemical Products & Fibres
Concrete, Cement, Lime, Plaster, etc.
