Since 2012, the QI has provided over two thousand (2000) training sessions to industries as public sessions and over fifty (50) customized in-plant training sessions in HACCP, GMP, Good Agricultural Practices, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Understanding & Interpreting ISO 9001, Documentation Requirements, Documentation and Process Mapping, Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nation (FAO), Food Safety Training for Ackee processors and Office Safety Practices.
As the QI moves towards international recognition for the Certification of Persons and expands its suite of Certified Training interventions and other industry solutions, the QI will heighten its role in capacity building for Jamaican industries.The Unit has developed strategies and objectives that will result in improvements of client servicing and the establishment of the Unit as the quality and standards training organization of choice, both locally and regionally.
We currently offer a variety of industry capacity building courses, in many disciplines and from the internationally accredited Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB).
