The Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) announces the adoption of the following standards as Jamaican standards:
ISO 8601-1:2019 Date and time – Representations for information interchange – Part 1: Basic rules
ISO 8601-2:2019 Date and time – Representations for information interchange – Part 2: Extensions
ISO 31000:2018 Risk management – Guidelines
ISO 22000:2018 Food safety management systems – Requirements for any organization in the food chain
ISO/TS 19657:2017 Definitions and technical criteria for food ingredients to be considered natural
ISO 50001:2018 Energy management systems – Requirements with guidance for use
ISO 20121: 2012 Event sustainability management systems – Requirements with guidance for use
CODEX STAN 192-1995 General standard for food additives
These standards were developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). They were reviewed by stakeholders and are to be adopted after a one month period of non-objection. If you have concerns, please submit them in writing to:
