This is not a comprehensive list. There are many organizations in Jamaica, both public and private, with the objective of supporting business development and trade.
Development Bank of Jamaica - DBJ supports capacity building through the provision of loans as well as other business development services.
Jamaica Business Development Corporation - The JBDC provides a range of services including: business incubation, business advisory, marketing, research and project management.
Jamaica Coalition of Service Industries - The JCSI supports the export of services.
Jamaica Exporters Association - The JEA provides market briefs (Essential Oils; Sauces, Spices & Herbs; Processed Foods) , exporter guides (including to the EU/UK), training manuals, information on export procedures and offers custom market research services.
Jamaica Manufacturers' Association - JMA services include: market research, web design, facility rentals and graphic design, amongst others.
Jamaica Trade and Invest - JAMPRO provides a number of export and market development services such as: exporter registration; business diagnosis; capacity building training; export readiness assessments; business plan development; benchmarking, amongst other services.
Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries - The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries - Agriculture and Fisheries Portfolio, issues export certificates for agricultural products. The agency is the SPS Focal Point.
Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries - The Ministry provides a wide range of resources aimed at supporting businesses in Jamaica.
Private Sector Organization of Jamaica - The PSOJ is primarily concerned with advocacy - namely ensuring that the private sector's interest is well represented.
Small Business Association of Jamaica - The SBA offers business counselling and advice, office services, training and provides a platform for networking.
Caribbean Export Development Agency - Caribbean Export is the region's export and investment organization. They provide a wide range of services and resources including: access to financing, capacity building and the Caribbean Exporter's toolkit.
Caribbean Regional Organisation for Standards and Quality - CROSQ supports efficiency and competitive production in goods and services, through the process of standardization and the verification of quality.
CBI (Netherlands) - CBI provides a wealth of product-specific information specifically related to exporting to the EU. There are over 350 fact-sheets in 29 sectors. CBI also offers services such as export coaching, institutional development and human resource development and maintains a database of key contacts in the EU.
International Trade Centre - This is another resource offering a wealth of information, including useful tools and publications in a number of sectors and sub-sectors (including fruits and vegetables, coffee, cocoa, spices, textiles and clothing).
Chamber Trade Sweden - This organization equally provides many export oriented guides in a wide variety of sectors targeted at exporters interested in the Swedish and Nordic markets.
iXPOS - iXPOS is German business portal providing useful information related to exporting to Germany including: information on the German marketplace, market entry requirements, priority business sectors, the EU service market and key contacts and networks.
Finnpartnership - This is a useful resource for those looking to export to Finland. The site provides information on the market, import regulations, standards as well as key contacts.
SIPPO - SIPPO also supports SMEs in developing countries export to Switzerland and hosts a wide range of publications.
