The Consumer Affairs Commission hosts its seminar and mini-exposition, under the theme "Making Digital Marketplaces Fairer: Access, Security and Protection", in observation of World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD) on Thursday, March 15, 2018. The event will be held at the Knutsford Court Hotel, 16 Chelsea Avenue, Kingston 5, starting at 9:15 am.

To support the CAC's thrust, The Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) will be in attendance. The BSJ will have a booth opened to the public who wish to learn more about the various products and services we offer.

Some of our services include:

• Development adoption, adaption and promoiton of standards, client servicing and industrial training, technical cooperation and coordiantion.
   
• Analytical and conformity assessment services for industries and diverse products including foods, beverages, metallic and non-metallic items, and chemical-based goods.
   
• Metrology and testing services for a wide range of industries including construction, mining, energy, manufacturing, food processing, telecommunications and agriculture.
