Jamaican Standards Network

The Jamaican Standards Network (JSN) is a group of private sector and government standards writing organizations working together to ensure the development of all required national standards, as well as standards that can be submitted for consideration as Regional and/or International Standards. The mission of the JSN is to:

• Facilitate information transfer for the development of standards;
• Ensure industry players are sensitive to the dynamics of the global environment;
• Respond quickly to market situations;
• Remove technical barriers so as to facilitate trade.

Membership Benefits

Being a member of the Jamaica Standards Network provides: The opportunity for organizations, in particular industry sectors, to submit their own standards or industry standards for consideration as National Standards; The opportunity to identify duplication and overlap of standards work and hence reduce the potential for conflicting standards; The opportunity to promote harmonization of standards within a sector; The opportunity to identify where cooperation is possible across different sectors; The opportunity to disseminate standards related information to the members of the general public.
